Disaster Relief

Disaster Relief Ministry at McGregor Baptist Church

Responding with Help, Healing, and Hope

Our Disaster Relief team is a group of volunteers with general and specialized skills that serve our church and community following a natural disaster. This opportunity to serve is an expression of the Gospel in action by living missionally and loving sacrificially. Our church partners with the Florida Baptist Disaster Relief and Recovery ministry and Southern Baptist Disaster Relief—the third largest relief organization in the U.S.

The mission of Florida Baptist Disaster Relief and Recovery Ministries is to “Make a difference” in times of disaster by connecting Florida Baptist Churches and Associations to people and communities impacted by disaster and by responding with Help, Healing and Hope, that demonstrates and shares the love of Christ.

Volunteers may engage in flood recovery, temporary roof repair, and chainsaw and debris removal work. Additionally, while meeting practical needs, volunteers also intentionally engage survivors in Gospel conversations. Each homeowner served also receives prayer and a Bible, signed by all of the team members.
