All adults join Pastor Russell Howard on Wednesday, February 25 at 6:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall as he leads us through “Thinking Biblically About the Differences Between Catholicism and Evangelicalism.”
Evangelicals and Roman Catholics share significant common ground in historic Christian belief. The Nicene Creed clearly demonstrates this shared foundation. Yet alongside these agreements are important theological differences that shape how faith is understood, taught, and lived out.
In this Hot Topic class, we’ll explore both the areas of agreement and the key differences between Evangelical and Catholic theology—and why those differences matter. We’ll ask thoughtful questions such as: What are the most significant doctrinal distinctions? Where did they come from? How should Christians think about these differences with both theological clarity and relational charity?
This one-night class is designed to help believers understand these issues more clearly, engage them biblically, and interact with others graciously and faithfully.
