An intentional effort to RENEW the Worship Center beginning April 2026.
Beginning Sunday, April 12 we will meet inside the Fellowship Hall (Hope Building) for our Sunday morning services.
Sunday morning worship service times remain the same. Join us at 8:00, 9:30, or 11:00 AM inside the Fellowship Hall (Hope Building). Life Groups will still meet at their scheduled times.
While some parking areas will be unavailable, we recommend entering our campus a few minutes earlier on the east side with the traffic light, and look for directional signs. Guest parking, valet service, and mobility parking will be available. Look for volunteers to help find the right spot for you.
All of our Preschool, Children’s, and Student meeting times are the same and in the same locations. You may want to arrive a few minutes early to allow time for parking.
Most Life Groups will meet at the same time and location. Just a handful of Life Groups have already made advance plans for different times and locations during the renovation process. Click here to Find a Life Group.

Renew Phase Two is a renovation project of our Worship Center and west parking lot over the next few years. Our Worship Center was built in 1983 and has stood as a remarkable structure through the years. However, all can see that there are some things in the Worship Center that are broken, or at least worn out. Our pews, carpets, and acoustical treatments are in need of repair and renovation. The west side parking lot will also be renovated to deliver a welcoming and remarkable impression. The church believes it is essential to be good stewards of the facility that previous generations built, and to provide a functional and attractive facility for the generations that follow.
Although the church has made minor updates over the years, the undertaking of this renovation project will touch several areas to the interior spaces of the Worship Center. The renovation will incorporate a more contemporary color palette, new seating, and a better foyer layout, among other updates. The platform will be brought forward, and a new cross aisle will make it easier to move around the auditorium. The lighting system will be replaced with a brighter and cleaner LED system that requires less maintenance. The bathrooms will also be updated to a more contemporary look.
From the very beginning of our church, McGregor Baptist has, correctly and biblically, our highest priority on congregational worship and the study of God’s Word. Renew Phase Two will give us the opportunity to take next steps in how we use the room, and how the room’s features and technology serve those highest priorities. A deliberately designed cross aisle, brighter LED-based lighting, improved bathrooms, updated sound equipment, and center screen on the platform are overall room improvement features. While there will be no money borrowed and no set timeline, we will seek God and trust Him to provide for the need to accomplish these projects.
In the years leading up to 1983, the Body of Christ meeting on McGregor Boulevard sought the Lord’s leadership and His provision for the construction of our Worship Center as well as the Faith Building. As the years passed, and the needs of the church changed and grew, our Joy Building, Hope Building, Grace Building, and Joy Annex were added. Most recently, many needs were met and a number of areas updated through Renew Phase One.
Now, once again, we are challenged to seek God and trust Him to provide for the need of renovating and updating our Worship Center to communicate the Gospel and provide a gathering and sending point for decades to come.
There is no set timeline, but the more quickly we reach our funding goal, the more realistic our projected budgets will be. Let’s pray together, love one another, give sacrificially, and celebrate together the victory that lies ahead!

Many of the design choices have yet to be made. Since we are going into a fund-raising period with an unknown start date, we didn’t want to get ahead of ourselves in making choices that could change by the time the project begins. The basic concept is firm, and our budget dollars are based upon this design in 2023 dollars.

We are blessed with a large Fellowship Hall that we will be able to occupy and continue to worship during the renovation. Obviously, things will look somewhat different, but we are grateful that we have a great space for worship.
We are planning in installing pews with padded seats and backs., all of which will be coordinated in color and wood tones.
Still to be determined, but it is the desire of the team working on the project to include a family bathroom. Much will depend upon the cost and permitting.
The foyer will be updated, new flooring, new doors into the worship center, paint, but it will not be expanded.
Continue to give and pray. Pray that things will go smoothly with permitting and timetable. We strongly desire to be in our renovated worship center by October/November.
There are many local contractors that are involved including some of our own church members, who gave bids that the general contractor will be using.

Significant technological improvements. Including lighting, sound system, LED wall, etc.
The console, along with the pipes, will be going away in the renovation. We will still hear great organ sounds at times in our worship music that will be provided by keyboards and other methods as it has been for many years.
